I was born in Istria, 36 years ago. As a compliant girl with a restless spirit, I was looking for ways to live myself and collaborate with my environment. That was not always easy. But life has taught me to be successful and unsuccessful, powerful and powerless, safe and unsafe, knowing and unknowing, infinitely sad and flauntingly happy. All of which make me today a more complete person.
In this process I had great support from my friends with whom I am still together and growing.
Having completed my studies in psychology at the Faculty of Rijeka, my seven year long working experience with children, parents, teachers and various institutions as an expert associate at the Italian kindergarten and the Italian primary school in Porec, has professionally strengthened me, as well as opened me up to new challenges.
In the year 2004 I enrolled in a Gestalt psychotherapy training, during which I got to meet myself anew. That four year long educational experience was for me a complex process of raising awareness, as well as exploring and expressing myself, which has helped me leave my usual restrictive framework and embark on a journey to greater freedom and autonomy, where I learned how to turn problems into solutions .
Touched by personal experience and excellent teachers, I decided I wanted to become a psychotherapist. My first steps in psychotherapy were made under supervision in the Counselling Centre for Children, Youth and Family of the Healthy City of Porec.
In 2009 I started my postgraduate studies in clinical psychology at the University of Zagreb. Moving to Zagreb and working together with Jasenka Pregrad has deepened and widened my professional identity.
In 2013 I founded the Gestalt Center Homa d.o.o. together with four exceptional women and psychotherapist, where I work as a Director with joy.
Apart from psychology, my passions are social activism and contemporary art. This part of myself has been intensely alive through a project focused on the development and growth of culture, art and creativity called “7 days of creation”, which I have been organising with my friends in Istria for the past 10 years. You can read more on the topic at www.sedamdanastvaranja.net.
Today, I am in the process of intensive writing of my final works, educating myself, working, loving, travelling, hanging out, exploring.
Every day I am inspired by human life and the uniqueness of each of us. The exploration of human souls and ways in which they are woven, is to me a beautiful work that inspires and fills.
